Ai Chi – Meditative Movement in Water
Practiced in shoulder depth water, Ai Chi combines deep breathing and slow, broad movements of the arms, legs, and torso. Ai Chi is a total strengthening and relaxation progression that bridges East and West philosophies. In total, the progression is nineteen individual movements.The benefits of these movements include increasing core strength, flexibility, coordination, mobility, and metabolism. Mental alertness, focus, and mind/body connection are all gifts of Ai Chi practice. Feelings of relaxation and tranquility are also reported.
The round flowing motions provide a soothing experience based on a principle of yielding to, rather than resisting the natural flow.
